Bio Nest

Biodiverse Landscape

Perched on a cliff edge above Sydney Harbour, this biodiverse garden feels simultaneously wild and deliberate — a green sanctuary carved into a dramatic escarpment. The site’s tight access constraints demanded inventive design responses: sculpted retaining walls, and the careful staging of materials via road closures and strategic lifting logistics.

Here, nature is not framed — it is experienced. A richly composed tapestry of native flora invites birds and insects to make the garden their home, transforming the rocky outcrop into a living ecosystem. Paths meander along the edge of the escarpment, encouraging moments of pause: sit, breathe, and watch the harbour panorama deepen in the golden hour.
